These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NastyTasty mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of the Service

NastyTasty helps you scan food product labels, analyse their ingredients, save products, and track personal allergens. Analyses are produced with a combination of keyword rules and AI. The App is provided on an "as is" basis.

2. Health Disclaimer

NastyTasty is an informational tool, not a medical or nutritional advisor. Analyses and suggestions shown in the App must not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet, especially if you have allergies, medical conditions, or are pregnant. You use the App at your own risk.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. Account and Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably suspect of abuse.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed by our billing provider RevenueCat. By purchasing a subscription you agree that:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Google Play account settings.
• No refund is provided for the unused portion of the current subscription period, except where required by law.

6. User Content

You may submit content to the App (photos you attach to saved products, notes, custom ingredient tags, feedback). You retain ownership of your content and grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display it so that we can provide the App to you. You represent that your content does not violate anyone's rights and is not unlawful.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.
• Use the App to transmit malware or harmful code.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute the App's content in bulk without our written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its source code, design, brand, and content are owned by NastyTasty and/or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial use.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion for violation of these Terms or to comply with legal requirements. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NastyTasty, its affiliates, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest change. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NastyTasty is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For consumers in the EEA/UK, mandatory local consumer protections will apply.
